Hi I have a 2018 250sxf and I just bought a dirt tricks cam chain tensioner to replace the OEM one. The instructions say the 250-350s need to be locked at TDC I was wondering if it is possible to change it without locking it at TDC?

Little late on this reply but here goes: it might be ok install the tensioner without locking at TCD, but using the lock bolt is so easy, I don't know why you wouldn't.
