You know, if you got a hinson clutch basket, you'd have to put the stock clutch gear on the hinson basket, so assuming the basket fits in the clutch cover, I guess it would have to fit right?

    PSA
There is a very, very clean low hour 2000 380 EXC for $1,800 listed on craigslist St. Louis. I don't know the owner, so I'm only going by what is in the ad.

    Hi All,

I have been following this thread for a couple of years now. I have just bought another 2000 model KTM 380 EXC and the bike has been badly butchered and patched.

I have access to a 2007 KTM 200 EXC roller for $300 and wanted to ask if anybody could advise me if the 380 motor will fit into the 200 frame without too many modifications?

I am from South Africa and late model rollers are basically non existent here, so the 200 roller is a good option, otherwise I must just buy a complete 300 from 2014 upwards and just keep the 300 motor aside.

Please any advice from the 380 guru's here will be greatly appreciated.

My gut reaction is the 200 frame has a narrower cradle than the 380 frame. I would think trying to shoehorn the 380 into a 200 frame would be more trouble than it is worth. If everything on the 200 is in good shape and everything on the 380 is butchered you could move most of the stuff off the 200 and install it on the 380. Unless of course the 380 frame is twisted up. I have 07 forks, 08 shock using a 02 sx swingarm, 04-07 plastics on my 99 380.
