Just thought I would put some pictures up of my new Highway Dirt Bike set-up. The Guards are the strongest I have seen. They also make a heavier duty set. You get a tap to thread the guards into your handlebar ends. I have had the slip-in pull and bend. The Guards come with a clamp that can accommodate switches, LED's and other things such as powerlets and RAM balls. The mirrors are cool to be able to tuck them away when off road, and be two mirror street legal. Everything is well made. The only problem is trying to decide from all the options. I would like to integrate some front LED blinkers into the hand guards. Good deal if you look at all your getting. BTW thanks JSS for the photos of your set-up.

Just about the coolest set-up I've seen.
It looks like the handguards bolt up to the top clamp?
All the accessories make for a real "dash".
Only need a mount for a GPS.

The hand guards do mount to the top clamp.

They to make a top clamp that will accommodate a damper. I have one working with a Scott's top mount. There is something going on with the photo gallery right now so I can post a picture.

BTW Dirte' the bike looks great.

I have been thinking about getting these as well. The only reason I can think of is for a better mirror. How well do the mirrors really work? Can you see around your arms? Are they big enough to be of use? Do the vibrate or are they stabile and clear? Can you take a pic or video that shows the rider perspective of the mirrors in use?

The mirrors are positioned at the end of the bars so there is no issue at all seeing around your arms. In fact, they are further out than conventional mirrors.

Vibration depends on your bike but it is no worse or maybe better than a stock mirror. Singles vibrate so all will show some signs of it.

They are plenty big to work

Initial adjustment takes a little work as you need to rotate the hand guards up or down to get the vertical positioning set but after that they are a snap to foldmout and use.

Just ordered that clamp this morning.
I also ordered the switches to run my computer instead of using the tripmaster switch.

Have you tried mounting a ball for a GPS in one of the switch holes ?
I am going to try and make that work as well.

I have seen a perch ball on one before. I am going to do the same. I would like to put my MAP switch on one of their switches but I would not know if it was on or off. I did put my turn signal indicators up on the clamp and signals in the hand guards.

Couldn't you wire in an indicator light for switch status ?
Or does the map switch just compete the circuit to select the performance map and is open to select the soft map ?

I have never looked at the map circuit to see how it works.

I was thinking about an led for status. My concern was would the small amount of power draw effect the power curve.

Does HDB make a DPST switch? (I didn't look to see if they do) If so wire an indicator LED through one side and the MAP wires through the other side.
