    1) is your jetting stock?
    2) what's wrong with your jetting?

140 main. 38 pilot. Stock needle 3 position from top. Air screw is 1.5 out

Since air screw is 1.5 out, and at that position - with motor warmed up -
Motor's idling at its max rpm, or near max rpm?

.....if no probls per above, then it's safe to say your pilot is in the ball park.... not saying it's the right one, b/c it depends on
how the needle responds to that size pilot.

    Now,
You're saying it bogs from zero to WOT, but does it bog from right off idle to 5/8 throttle opening?
Is it crisp, and does it pull w/o any hesitation or bogging? Reason being, the next thing to change is the needle, and the needle
affects 1/8-5/8 throttle opening.....whereas the main jet affects 5/8 to wide full open throttle. So it's more effective to isolate each circuit as
    jetting goes.

So, if it pulls cleanly up to 5/8, then the needle's in the ballpark, so the only thing to change is the main jet. Go down one size on the main jet and hopefully this cures it.

But, IF the 1/8-5/8 throttle opening isn't crisp, then next step is to move the clip one up or one down from middle position.
Try one clip up, (2nd groove from the top of needle) so that the jetting is leaner than before.
Hopefully, it did the job .
But, If it feels like it doesn't have enough pull like before, and the idle hangs (slow to rev back down after the throttle's closed), then the c clip is positioned too lean.
so that move is indicating it went in the wrong direction.
IF so, move the clip down 2 grooves, (4th groove from top) and see whether that helped. Hopefully, that did the job .

If the response if worse, like it bogs far worse than before, then that's in the wrong direction, too rich, ....then we may need to go back in there and change the pilot to a smaller size, recheck the air/fuel screw is between 1.5-2.5 turns out for max. idle, and then test needle again at mid. clip.

WIth jetting, change one thing at a time is the way to go. CHanging the main and moving the clip and changing pilot won't be of any good.

Got rid of the stock bog in our 2018 which is the same bog I hear in every Kx 85 I hear on YouTube videos. Running the clip in position 2 and bog is gone. WOT and no bog at low rpm but just not a lot of power till revs come up. Provly normal but it feels like power valve needs to open sooner. Have not found anyway to adjust it though.

Ok, so this jetting is still off. Moving the clip is just a band aid that helps lean the over rich straight section of the needle which the over rich straight section is there to compensate for the overly lean pilot circuit. This is a poorly jetted bike stock. Working on a fix now. Will post what I come up with if anyone is interested

If you follow the jetting guide in the Owner's Manual (Engine and Suspension tuning section) you will find "Correction Factor Applied to the Jet Needle and Air Screw". Same correction factors are applied to the slow and main jet too. I used these and got the bike to run really well. All it took was a tweak to the air screw for me from stock settings. Needle, main, and pilot was left stock. 2012 model KX85.
