    Default License plate holder

    Hello-

Iím looking for a new license plate holder for my 2018 KTM EXC 350 as the stock one hung really low! If I could get some sort of high profile one Iíll leave it on my trail only trips too! I know SICASS racing makes some, but Iíve heard mixed reviews about them not lasting long. I will most likely add some of there flush signals to whatever I end up getting!

    any help is appreciated!

    thanks,

It used to be so easy slap a XCW subfender on and replace the huge EXC subfender, don't know if a 300 xcw will fit.

This was going to be my suggestion. I believe the 2 vs 4 stroke rear fender is the same part so the sub fender would bolt right up.

I've always plated my Ws and used the little stock plate holder by bending the plate to wrap around, some guys run plate sideways but not sure if that is legal.

I ran the plate sideways and didnt have any issues. I couldnt justify spending money on the "plate holder" so I bolted it to the subfender.

I made my own plate holder from a piece of plastic, in Michigan "improper mounting of license plate is a civil infraction code 257.225" even though your plate is easy to read there is always some LEO out to get you seen people stopped because the plate had mud on it.

I got the very first Silasís 2018 rear fender / light. Rode four months in Colorado with no problems. I have used the old style Sicass fender / light on many bikes and no problems with then either.

There business is in Michigan and the UP is whopdedo city and every one there rides so they are well tested.

I bought mine from Baja Designs after ordering one from Sicass. Baja uses a KTM part which is much beefier than Sicass. Theirs is lighter if you are concerned about weight. Baja made a kit so I found it easier than piecing it all together with a bunch of different suppliers. I know the post is old, but thought the difference was worth noting.
