I remember now, it was an M59 that came apart like your tire but I was running really low psi for a front tire...7 psi. After that I ran 9-10 psi and never had that problem again. At 8-9 psi a rear tire should not do that, IMO. I was planning on running the VE33S at 5 psi. but that problem concerns me. How many miles do you have on it?

Yes MT16 but its nylon cords not metallic, never saw a knobby with metallic sidewall components. Plus it was manageable, 8PSI + no big deal, and never leaked.

I can't see how you guys are running Tubliss that soft with these tires in rocky stuff without destroying wheels. Only able to do that with Sedona 907 and tires like it. Cheater sidewalls thick and run them at 7PSI, all others more.

Pirrelli MT 16 would do this all the time for me.

I am not sure of the mileage, but it had about 42+ hours on it. Usually i would have replaced it at this point, but since all the races\big rides have been cancelled in my area, i had planned to running it a little longer. I don't need a fresh knobby for trail riding. At any pressure less than 8 psi it felt like i was running on a flat, but maybe that was due to the sidewall issue. Note: there was some side wall knob cracking before this and on the last ride one side knob was missing. My Shinko 505 lasted longer and will less damage. I have a Shinko 525 and a Michelin to try out next..

Had the same issue with ve33s. Tire had about 20 hrs on it and half tread. The issue is you have to run atleast 8psi from what I found. The tire carcass is not very heavy duty needing the extra psi to hold up rider and bike. Iím also 250 lbs fully geared up. So maybe a lighter guy could get away with less psi

I'm about 220 all geared up and running it at 5 PSI with Tubliss. I guess we'll see what happens.

I didnít have any leaks but noticed the damage on the inner sidewall when I was changing tires. Anything less than 8psi have me a wallowy feel in fast stuff. Probably fine for slow speed/hard enduro.

I have around 35hrs/600mi on a VE33s with tubliss and normally run 7-8 PSI. I noticed a couple weeks ago after a ride the tire went flat sitting in the garage and this has never happened prior. I checked and it is seeping air past the bead/rim on several locations. I wonder if the inside has cords showing and air is leaking past cords to the bead area.

The leakage is so slow that it will keep air during a ride and the wear has been excellent so I will just keep airing it up and riding it a couple more hours before pulling it off to see what it looks like on the inside.
