Could this make every state the same as Cali?

If they shut down CARB, yes, all the states would be under the same set of EPA rules. But I'd guess Cali could pass some rules and put some of their restrictions back on?

Not for vehicle emissions standards. As I understand it, the (federal) Clean Air Act prohibits states from enacting emission standards for new motor vehicles, unless a waiver is granted by the EPA.

That is a stupid comment from an ignorant person! California riding is epic year round, with Mountain, Desert and many BLM, state and county riding areas that are convenient for all to access. CARB is just over the top control on a sport that contributes little in terms of CO2 emissions to justify its rules. I truly hope this moronic sticker (red/green) sticker designation goes away soon, so we can enjoy our EFI 2 strokes on State and county trails all year round.

I would like to know how california got so totally wacked in their laws & regulations to start with? I suppose i get some cities have certain problems being in valleys and smog being trapped in during the right pressure conditions, we have the same issues here in boise and have burn bans during those times, conditions change, wind comes through, back to normal. But to pass statewide laws because of one cities problems would be idiotic, isn't that what cali did? Isn't that what the green flakes want to do with the whole country and then some? (new deal)
i suppose when hollywood cries "the sky is falling" long enough & loud enough it it filters into education, politics, ect..
Like others said earlier, this world has a lot bigger issues with pollution offenders and to single out our little fuel efficient motors, bbq's and what not.......derrrrr!!!
    smog?

I grew up in So Cal in the 50's up until now and the smog is minimal if at all and we don't have smog alerts anymore. They cleaned up the biggest polluters the cars and things have been beautiful.
And for CARB to go after a few 2 strokes ridden a few times a year is utterly ridiculous. I guess they have nothing else to do and the dirt bike industry is low hanging fruit----and I know that Japan does
not like to fight the politics here. I read that one car carrying freighter that makes one trip across the pacific puts out more pollution than all of the 2 strokes have since the 1960's.
