If they shut down CARB, yes, all the states would be under the same set of EPA rules. But I'd guess Cali could pass some rules and put some of their restrictions back on?

Not for vehicle emissions standards. As I understand it, the (federal) Clean Air Act prohibits states from enacting emission standards for new motor vehicles, unless a waiver is granted by the EPA.

That is a stupid comment from an ignorant person! California riding is epic year round, with Mountain, Desert and many BLM, state and county riding areas that are convenient for all to access. CARB is just over the top control on a sport that contributes little in terms of CO2 emissions to justify its rules. I truly hope this moronic sticker (red/green) sticker designation goes away soon, so we can enjoy our EFI 2 strokes on State and county trails all year round.
