I assume at some point we can BYOB a race edition. Right now it doesn't offer that option on the website. I'm pretty excited about the 250.

I think the REs get added to the BYOB program in December. The first couple shipments of 300 REs are sold out.

My son rode the Beta demo in VA a few weeks ago. Keep in mind he loves the YZ 250. He said the Beta 250 was amazing, power everywhere. Surprisingly he raved about the 500. Lots of power and felt light and nimble. He said it would be a hard choice between the two. Didn't like the 125, thought the 200 was weak. The 300 he said vibrated so bad he wouldn't want to ride one. And the 390 and 430 he once again thought the power was too soft compared to a Husky 350.

Take it for what it's worth. Just like a KTM demo, those bikes aren't really dialed in.

I am somewhat surprised about the vibration complaint with the counterbalanced 2020 Beta 300 2-stroke. I haven't ridden one yet however from what I have read they are noticeably smoother than previous Beta 300's although perhaps not quite as smooth as the newer KTM/Husky 300's.

Just picked up a 300 race ed last weekend. Got in a nice ride on Sat. and thought it was pretty darn smooth. KYB is very good new with no adjustments. Compared to the AER on my 2017 350xc-f its exceptional. Did quite a few log crossings and the KYB feels nice and planted and didn't deflect at all. AER tried to kill me several times as usual. Engine is quite nice as well. Nice even power delivery and pulls from nearly stopped in 2nd gear.
