Thread: Krooztunes PDS Xplor upgrade kit.

I used there recommended stack that came on the zip tie.

But I'm also using the proper progressive spring. 2 steps up from stock for my weight.

Also I'm running the high speed almost all the way out. I find it works best for those nasty square edges at speed. Big step ups on roots that kinda thing. I find KTM always has too much high speed damping in there PDS shocks.

    Works like magic

I ran the normal settings that Krooztune recommended. Note that I run one rate higher rear spring than recommened for my weight. My sag settings are 38 static, 111 seated and 106 standing - I am a mostly stand-up rider. Also, I modified the DCC per Picklito's changes and run 2 turns in on the high-speed adjuster.

Does the full PDS kit come with different types of shim stacks that I can choose from to suit my level/riding style or is it just one shim stack that they send?

It comes with standard shim stacks set up ready to go in on a zip tie. Then it also comes with extra shims if you want to go firmer or softer then standard. In the instructions it tells you what shims to use to alter the stack.

I went with the recomend standard setting. Best shock I've had now. I ride the nasty rocks/roots type stuff and back end floats over everything.

Having said that I still run my high speed compression almost all the way out. So I guess you could change that valving to more soft also. Low speed about 7-8 clicks in from full soft. But I'm happy with it the way it is now.

I'm installing my Xplor to OC mods fork mods and the Krooztune rear bladder kit on a friend's '19 350 EXC today. He is an A rider (will probably get promoted to AA this season) so I'm looking forward to his thoughts.

I installed the full PDS kit including the bladder yesterday. And I agree, the Krooztune PDS kit is really good - I have it on my '18 300 XCW. I'll be converting the forks to open chamber with my stacks today. I'll set the oil level to 120mm for him since he is so fast.
