What fun would it be if you were finished?
I got my xcw running exactly like I wanted (both suspension and carb). So what was the logical thing to do next....yup, sell it and buy a 18 300xc and start over!
    Let the madness begin!
At least I have the carb figured out so that was easy. Now im trying to learn the aer.
Good luck and keep fighting the fight of suspension tuning.

Ken did you toss the midvalve backer shim and just space up to get the low float?I think it is 16 x.15. Anyone like the backer and still use it?

I didn't use the backer shim; I used a thick 10 x 8mm washer and filed the thickness down to set the float.

I am done with my Xplor forks. I have given up on them. I buying 2nd hand KYB forks and putting them on my 300. And when the time comes for a new bike, no matter the colour, I can promise you never ever WP Xplor again .

Pretty soon KTM will put wooden dowels in place on the forks for shipping purposes and let the buyer find their own fork.

Does eliminating the backer shim reduce shim life significantly?
