ktm spark plug or other?

My local dealer is charging me $25 for a stock spark plug for a 2019 ktm 85sx is there a less expensive one I can use without losing power or that will run the same if not better . we run 100oct on a stock engine

I don't know what plug but can pretty much guarantee you you can bring that plug to auto parts store and they can match it to say ngk.

Parts finder shows that is a BR9ECMVX, normally about $12 or $13. Is that what you are using?

I generally run the NGK BR9EIX. But have run the BR9ES with zero issues. Purchase 4 pack from Ebay or Amazon when needed.

BR9ECMVX is NOT a plug carried in stock by an auto parts store. and Difference are EIX is normal length CMVX has a short porcelain body. ES is normal body normal extrode.

As usual I agree with Not4show. You probably would never notice the difference between an ES and a fancy plug. I buy in bulk off ebay since a bunch of our bikes run the same plug. Usually just go with the EIX plugs because you can usually get pretty cheap. EG is another good option.............

It’s sold at rkymtnatv for $12 I think, it’s not exclusive to a KTM p/n, but it’s also not sold at a car parts store, because it’s a plug that’s ever been on a motor vehicle (guessing)

Are you guys fouling plugs that offer? I've never had to put one in our 16 85SX. I bet O'Reilly could order those plugs. Back in the day we would have our NGK numbers crossed over to an AC Delco because they wouldn't foul nearly as easy as an NGK and ran just as good.

We dont foul plugs, more of a maintenance item. Usually change after 50ish hours
