    Rumor has it that Stu has used this time off to get his knees fixed. I think thats the biggest reason that he isnt racing anything right now.

    Two sides to every story but IMO and from the interview he had a major role in the decision. He might not have said "I quit" but he made some choices that ultimately cost him his ride. You don't hear Stu talk about budget cuts or money issues and he's tight lipped about what lead to his parting so there is something else going on.

    I agree with this statement. It is a job and he is always expected to perform. The reason so many of the best racers retire when they are on top.

    DUH. But Terry Cunningham raced a bunch after retiring withou a sponser. How's that for "at his level"?
