    You think Red Bull is going to be happy? lol.
    Carlos "The Matador" took the win, then Nassir, followed by Stephane "Mr. Dakar" Peter Hansel.

    Man … it has been a long time coming!!

    =========
    Not to be denied Danny LaPorte came back in ‘92 riding for the factory Cagiva/Lucky Strike team in the Dakar Paris to Capetown Rally. With Edi Orioli, as his teammate and full factory support Danny won a stage, the first ever by an American, and finished a spectacular 2nd overall behind Stephane Peterhansel.

    Jimmy Lewis is a U.S. motorbike racer. He finished third in the Paris-Dakar-Cairo rally in 2000. Winning stages 9 and 10 in Libya and Egypt, he managed to make it up to third place, behind Richard Sainct and Oscar Gallardo.

    Chris Blais went on to finish 4th overall in 2006 and 3rd overall in 2007 becoming only the third American to stand on the podium, and the first since Jimmy Lewis in 2000.
    =====================
    Major congrat to Ricky Brabec and Honda!!!

    For sure!

    It's also been a long time since any other manufacturer won! 18 years with KTM on top.

    Ya historic moment for the USA in Dakar and nice to see Honda has done so well (KTM/Husky did OK )

    Looking forward to 2021
    On many long journeys have I gone. And waited, too, for others to return from journeys of their own. Some return; some are broken; some come back so different only their names remain.

    For those who enjoy the Dakar, the Lyndon Proskit YouTube Channel is excellent.

    He did a great job with video production for the Africa Eco Rally.
