    Ok thanks

Did a continuity test to these two connections by the subframe and they are good then I did a continuity test from the subframe connection to the headlight and I get nothing from the white wire (power) but the brown wire is good.
so that tells me the power wire is the problem from the headlight to the first connection by the subframe.

These wires are covered by electrical sheath and I see no indication of damage anywhere do wires just go bad for no reason?

    Thanks

By the way the connection I checked by the headlight is the one that's on the fender also what is that one connection that has the blue and purple wire it is not connected to anything but that is the way the bike came

2 inches below the end of the VIN I see where the black protection sheath looks like it is torn? Always assume that wherever the wire has to bend one way and then the other that it might have died and its not visible. There will be a reason. Consider yourself lucky as this bike does not have that much wiring compared to my 2020 Six Days

    Thanks Park,
Checking for continuity really helped out and I could tell where the problem was.

The closer I looked I found the culprit a cut white power wire that I must have sniped when I cut off the tie strap to reroute my GPS cable.

Use the pink butt splice put back together and let there be light!!!

Thanks guys for the help and walking me through this....

Great Feedback and I am happy you found your issue. I would also suggest you get the tools to solder and various shrink wrap sizes and colors to make your repair bullet proof. I never trust a crimp of any kind because the environment is just too harsh. Either something is pulling hard on the wire or its getting moisture and dirt/dust at the connector....something solder can really help with. Also, some dielectric grease is good to apply to the various connections to keep them from corroding ...or at least slow that process down. Just recently I bought 82' rolls of 3:1 1/4 black and red so I have gone a bit overboard

A correctly done butt splice is superior to a solder joint. A solder joint will 'wick' solder up the wire and cause the joint to be susceptible to a break at each end. A butt splice will create an air tight seal where there will be no corrosion. Shrink wrap should be used in any connection. There is always much discussion of this in the experimental aviation community with butt splices much preferred.

You can get butt splices that have the insulation made of shrink wrap, too. Pretty cool connectors.
