Hadn't thought of using the horn button as the kill switch.... I may just do that! I only keep the "extra" street legal stuff (blinkers, horn, etc) around for when I visit/ride with my family in CA. I use a battery powered horn that's meant for a bicycle commuter, it's loud as hell, and just straps to the bar without any wires running to the bike and I can just toss it in my pack once I'm off any real roads. Arizona has minimal street legal requirements too, pretty sure we don't even require a headlight if you're riding during daylight hours.

I wonder how acceptable the horn would be while passing in H/S racing?

Until I had a horn on my bike, I just used the rev limiter!

it is actually verboten for H/S racing according to AMA rules. However, for enduros, you are supposed to have a horn.

Just think, what if everyone that rode a dirtbike made (1) mile of new singletrack trail each year?

Well, the Vortex ECU fixed the fueling issues. Now it runs like it should. Adding wheel weights to balance things out some as they are pretty hoppy at 60mph... The engine still needs to break in. My last one did it at around the 15 hour mark. I am having some odd transmission shifting glitches. I hope those go away once everything is more broken in.

I found a neutral between 4th and 5th but only once so far. The bike only had 10 minutes of time on it at that point.
Stick on weights inside the wheel opposite the bead lock make a huge difference for running at speed. Iíve never balanced a dirt bike wheel, I just match the weight of the bead lock. No issues with Mousse bibs or tubes. Donít know if that would work for Tubliss?

In all my years of racing, I never heard anyone use a horn but times change.

Made a few changes to the bike today and spent about 25 minutes trying things out. Adjusted the Rekluse to the early engagement setting which is all blue springs. I like how it hooks up now when you stop in the middle of a hill.
Changed the rear 48 to a 49. I think this will be enough change to help the really slow sections but not enough to kill the top end.
I also installed my DOT tires for getting my bike titled. I went with Goldentyre which I never heard of until two months ago. 216AA 90/90/21 and GT369KX 130/80/18. The rear 130 seems too small of diameter (305 Mousse would not fit) but it'll have to do until I get it to the inspection center. Both tires hooked up well here on the farm but we have very little rocks. I tried running the off chamber areas and both ends gripped well. Couldn't carry the speed I wanted but promising so far.

The GET has my bike running amazingly well. I tried my best to stall the engine tonight and it never sputtered or acted like it was going to. Probably some of it has to do with the Rekluse but I stomped the life out of the rear brake trying find a weakness and no drama at all. This is the first time I've used the new type Rekluse clutch and I am really impressed. Compared to the z-start, this is definitely a huge step in the right direction.
