the 19" rim vs 18" isnt a huge issue right now, as I'm buying a new 300 xcw once the snow melts

that's really good to know, thanks!

Then get what ever is cheapest. I don't know the ins and outs of shipping to Canada, is that a non issue with Rocky mountain atv?

well it usually works out to be the same price ordering from them, or gnarly parts out in bc once I pay duties. the more I save on a wheel, the more gas money I'll have for the bike haha

that's what I was also considering, how did it last? did you stop drill the crack as well?

Its an easy tig weld repair if properly prepped. Don't stop drill before welding. Just extend the groove beyond the crack. You basically groove the cracked weld and fill it back in. Then sand flush. it will suck in at the new weld but be plenty strong. Don't try to straighten it back out once welded. Just live with it. The new weld will be softer but plenty strong. A new rim will look a lot better if you don't mind lacing and truing.

I had the same one done twice in the past three years but Iím still running it. The last time was July Ď18. I donít know the details because a coworker did it for me.

perfect, I think I'll try that first and if it doesnt work out, I guess I'll have to fork out the 500 for a new wheel

I may have one I used for a few rides that I would sell. Its a 19 with the grayish hub from the RFS days. It has the Pirelli sand tire on it from when I bought it about 13 years ago. I will sell it for $150 + shipping. I'm guessing the shipping to Canada is a lot though.
