Default Jeffrey Herlings Injured, Will Miss Next Four Grand Prix

While Herlings was fortunate to escape serious injury, the hard landing means he needs to rest and monitor the state of his upper torso in the next two weeks. He is due to have another MRI on September 29th. The date means he will miss the next four rounds of the series. The Mantova circuit will stage a triple header in one week at the end of this month.

I was running a TIG bead when I heard Paul Malin say Herlings had pranged. My screen went clear just in time to see Herlings auger over.

It looked just like a Pole Vault pole going into the stop box, then lifting / pivoting over.

In his bad luck, the young man had some good luck. It could have been much, much worse.

I hope he lets it heal, Fully - he's just turned 26, so he still has a fair few years in him - that is, if he chooses to keep at it.

Thing is, he's looked so much more 'measured' the last couple of years. Not always trying to win by big amounts (well, he sure as heck couldn't now - there's a plethora of frighteningly fast blokes out there with him) and not always being on the ragged edge. Shows you we are just millimetres / a heartbeat away from disaster, even the preternaturally skilled, such as he.

Ouch. Almost a one point landing on his head. That kid has been something to watch, I hope he does take some time to heal, these guys have a lot of pressure to get back into it, too soon sometimes I think.

TC looks at this as an opportunity to win his 10th championship and retire.

Cactus is right. TC wants that 10th so bad that if he gets it this year I think he will retire, he is 35 now.

Bummer hate to see that. Guy is raw speed kinda reminds me.of Stewart always riding on the edge charging hard. And quiet often picking up his bike.

I'm routing for 222 TC I also like Gajser but would be rad to see T.C go for the big 10
