    Default Fork Spring Change Videos?

So, I am quickly finding out of how much more difficult the freeride wrenching is compared to my 300 xcw tpi...(end of rant)

I went to remove the fork springs and have discovered that I am unfamiliar with removing this style of cartridge/spring. Are there any videos or similar to the process of removing/replacing the springs on a 2017 freeride?

I got the rear spring replaced last night.... that was a lot harder than I would have thought.

I believe it's the same/similar as documented here:

Thank you. I must be missing something in figures 1-3 on pg 6. I left the forks in the trees so maybe thatís the issue. I will post some pictures later and report my progress.

So I was finally able to change out the springs with great difficulty at first (I didnít have a 22mm wrench). I eventually bought the correct wrench and had to grind down the thickness to fit the nut. I used an impact gun and socket to easily remove the top cap and then pull out the springs at that point and then reassembled the forks. All without removing the forks.

I will say that the design engineer for WP didnít give much thought to the common household mechanic and common tools....although there are much more difficult forks to deal with.

Have the forks changed since 2014 (I have a '15) or all we all on the same thing? Mine were identical inside to my 2010 300xcw's fork and changing springs was easy.

Nope same open chamber design. Super easy to change springs.
