Will the stock handguards mount up on a Nissin?

You talked about your other ktm master being fine why not swap them out to test your suspect master cylinder. In my experience the units are very reliable but like anything they can go bad. From your posts it sounds like the master or possibly hose Iíd swap in a known good master to find out for sure before throwing in more money. KTM has great brakes and clutches I wouldnít start mixing parts unless I was sure of the outcome it could be a expensive change endeavor with what little gain.

I donít want to harp on the bleeding part but sometimes itís hard to get the last bit of air out Iíve had to take the caliper off and angle them during the bleeding process to get all the air out. I had a old mustang that I added a hydraulic clutch to and the only way I could bleed it completely was to remove the master and slave as a unit and bench bleed it keeping everything at just the right angles once done it worked until I sold it. A few years later they called me and asked how I did it After I explained it they were able to get it done.

I use a Nissin MC from a Honda, I got fed up of the Brembo going mushy, My Nissin has a piston size that is 1mm bigger than the Brembo, this does mean that the lever does not move quite as far but I do have to apply a bit more pressure to the lever to get the same braking effort. You need a different banjo bolt so get one with a built in brake light if you bike has a brake light fitted.
