    Default Carl Cranke RIP

Just saw a post from a friend that he passed. Anyone know the circumstances?

I have been passed by many people but at the Trask and Badrock qualifiers Carl came by me with a grace and speed that was hardly human. He was a good man.

I remember him doing a top end on his Penton in a reported 10 minutes once. Either in a Qualifier or Six Day. On a hot bike during a pit stop! Had pics but I threw all my old mags and Cycle News away long ago. God Bless and RIP Carl!

I remember in six days somewhere overseas (can't remember which one), where the europeans called him "crazy Cronkay". He could ride.

He was a founding member of the Dirt Diggers North Mc as well. My dad had a few battles with him in the early 70ís. He came to a club banquet a few years ago, i had not seen him in 20 plus years and we had some laughs. RIP
