Similar sentiments with the IBEX. Fantastic grip, still handled faster tracks and good braking. I was 400-500 miles on them as well.

The V33S just a little better for my riding style and terrain lately with more fast flowing woods and less slow technical.

I'll probably give the new JX8 a try just to compare to the V33S and IBEX.

Really great choices now to match just about everyone's needs!

Gotta hand it to IRC for creating an excellent lineup at a reasonable price

Yes, will be interesting if it drops in between the two. I've only got one solid ride on V33S Gekotta at Gifford and then local miles around my own trails but I like the wet mud handling a little better than Ibex possibly but I seem to feel a little less downhill braking grip and control but not too sure yet with limited miles. If I had to guess I think I can see how it would last a bit longer than Ibex (stiffer knobs) but doesn't seem to quite have that awesome grip all the time. Still, waiting to put a few hundred more miles on it before making decision. If I find it not living up to Ibex grip standards then I might give this new JX8 a try to see if it can give comparable performance with just a tad more life but only if price is comparable. I can be cheap at times but not when it comes to me getting through gnarly terrain

His comment @2:17 about the major downfall of the gummies resonates with my experience with these tires - so this new tire intrigues me.
